مسلسل سبک مدرن شده RPK-74M

پس از روی کار آمدن سلاح هجومی AK-74M در شرکت ایژماش ، شرکت مولات به روز آمد سازی مسلسل سبک RPK-74 تا سطح مسلسل سبک RPK-74M (P396) پرداخت . در نتیجه این برنامه ، عمر خدمتی لوله اسلحه افزایش یافت و گلوله های مورد استفاده از نوع 7N10 با قدرت نفوذ بیشتر انتخاب گردید . بدنه اسلحه و پوشش آن تقویت شد ، متوقف کننده میله راهنمای فنر اصلی بهسازی گردید و به یک قنداق پلاستیکی تاشونده به سمت چپ مجهز کرد . گونه های سازگار شده با گلوله 39×62/7 و 45×56/5 میلیمتری ناتو نیز برای بازار صادرات تکمیل گردیدند.

    After creation of the AK-74M assault rifle at the "lzhmash", the Vyatsko-Polyansky Machine-Building Plant "Molot" had conducted the proper updating of the RPK-74 light machine gun up to the level of the RPK-74M light machine gun (Index 6P39).

    The service life of the barrel was increased during firing with the new 7N10 cartridg featuring a bullet of enhanced penetration performance "PP" (its bullet of 3.56 g penetrates a 16 mm steel plate at a range of 100 meters, this cartridge permitted to enhance the quality of the whole 5.45 family weapons); the receiver and its cover were reinforced; the stop of a guiding rod of the main spring was improved (in an effort to prevent the breaking off the receiver cover due to strikes and drops); the fore grip was also changed. The machine gun is outfitted with a folded to the left plastic stock. There are also versions chambered for the 7.62x39 (RPKM) and 5.56x45 NATO cartridges which evidently intended for the export purposes, if only because theses cartridges are widely used all over the world.
